We’re Ashley and Laurie, a mother-daughter team creating effortlessly elegant weddings filled with beauty, meaning, and ease. With a natural blend of logistical precision and aesthetic vision, we help modern couples celebrate love with intention and artistry.
Lead Designer: Laurie’s Story
With a background in healthcare and a lifelong passion for aesthetics, Laurie brings a calm, grounded presence and a discerning eye to every event. Her transition from clinical settings to creative work was a natural evolution, one that allowed her to merge her love of beauty, tradition, and thoughtful experiences. After joining Ashley for a wedding one weekend, she found herself instantly at home in the world of events, and the mother-daughter partnership was born.
Laurie lives with her husband and their two dogs in a home that reflects her appreciation for luxury and timeless charm. Mornings often begin with a very strong cup of coffee, best enjoyed while sketching a new tablescape or planning her next antique hunt.
An enthusiastic home cook, Laurie approaches the table the same way she approaches events, with intention and beauty. Whether she’s preparing a slow-roasted meal or assembling a multi-course dinner, each plate is served with elegant presentation, and the table is set to reflect the mood of the season.
Her design philosophy centers on creating environments that feel storied and soulful, celebrations that leave a lasting impression not just because they’re beautiful, but because they feel like home.

Ashley’s journey into wedding planning began long before she stepped into the industry professionally. Years before planning events, she worked on major production sets, where she learned the art of lighting, angles, and storytelling. Those experiences gave her a unique perspective, she approaches every wedding like a production, because love stories deserve that kind of attention.
Ashley honed her craft as an assistant to some of the industry’s most respected planners, working behind the scenes of luxury weddings with the dream of building her own brand. Inspired by her grandmother, a celebrated interior decorator, and her mother’s passion for beautiful hosting, she grew up in a home where details mattered and gatherings felt like magic. From holiday tables adorned with heirloom centerpieces to impromptu styling sessions, creativity and design were always at the heart of her life.
Now, as the founder of Day of Enchantment Events, Ashley blends logistics, artistry, and human connection into every celebration she creates. She puts her heart and soul into every event, treating each one as both a carefully orchestrated plan and a deeply personal story.
When she’s not planning, Ashley enjoys going to the gym, doing yoga, spoiling her fur babies, and spending time with her husband. You can also find her at local fashion shows, art exhibits, or still working on major production sets from time to time.
